Before you sign up.
No. We ship with sensible defaults for roles, permissions, email templates, and reminders. Most hosts are up and booking guests in under ten minutes. When you want to change the wording on a confirmation email or rename a role, every setting is there in plain English. It works out of the box, and it's adjustable when you're ready.
Yes, that's the point. Use us for your repeat guests and keep your listings live for new ones. We're also testing iCal calendar sync, so that a booking taken anywhere can block those dates everywhere, and we plan to roll it out once it's proven.
Not at all. One property is the common case. If you've outgrown a spreadsheet but don't need a professional property-management suite, this is exactly the gap we're filling.
Your call. You can connect your own Stripe account and collect payments from guests directly into it, or keep taking bank transfers or whatever already works for you. We take no percentage either way. Every payment lives in your ledger against the right booking: Stripe payments are recorded automatically, and payments taken outside Stripe take a couple of clicks to mark off.
Your data is hosted in Sydney, Australia. Everything's encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell guest data and we never run ads on your bookings page.
Yes. Making tax time painless is a big part of why this product exists. Reports run on the Australian FY (1 Jul to 30 Jun), with separate ledgers for booking income, cleaning, and maintenance. State short-stay levies are calculated automatically from the property's address so you always know where you stand; collecting and paying them remains your responsibility, and the tool keeps the numbers straight for you. When you've reviewed the numbers, export them as CSV or PDF for your accountant.
Billing is monthly or quarterly, whichever you pick. Cancel any time from the Account screen and export your data in full as CSV. No retention clauses, no lock-in contract, no call with a sales rep to get out.
Only people you let in. Anyone can create a Brevity Bookings account, but your property is visible only to the people you have expressly invited or approved.
